I WAS NEARLY A BALD WOMAN. LOOK AT ME NOW. MY HAIR IS BACK.

Androgenetic alopecia in women [ FEMALE HAIR LOSS ] is often linked to hormonal changes with the hair loss following events such as the menopause, childbirth or as a result of stopping or starting oral contraceptive pills.  The hair loss is generally more uniform over the scalp than in the male counterpart, but also results from a complex chemical reaction when the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase converts the testosterone in the system into DHT or dihydrotestosterone.  The hair follicles are genetically predisposed to be over sensitive to the DHT and become smaller and smaller with time, leading to the eventual hair loss.

Gary Heron says: “You’ll have access to the most effective treatments available through The Hair Centre and at a fraction of the cost of going to other Private Commercial Clinics and Centres.”

When it’s time to see the Trichologist: If you begin losing hair rapidly, and or are cosmetically concerned about baldness, consult your Trichologist about treatment options. You can receive a free hair loss consultation with a Westminster Trichologist at our Hair Centre.

WEAVE: Improper removal methods can cause damage

BLACK WOMEN could be at risk of severe hair loss because many of them don’t know how to properly take out braids weave and other hair extensions, says a New York-based hair care company.

Sheila Smith, spokeswomen for hair care company Tangled Hair Techs, told Taylor Media Services: “As consumer demand for braids, dreadlocks and hair extensions has grown, clients have become less knowledgeable about proper removal processes.”

She said this lack of knowledge can lead to “serious damage, hair loss, and in some cases, severely tangled or matted hair.”

She added that some hairdressers also make the issue worse by using improper methods to remove hair.

Black African Women's Hair Problems Solved: How To Stop Breakage,Traction Alopecia, Chemical As Well As Manual Damage To Black Hair. The Good Guide To Black Hair And The Reversing Of Hair Loss Made Simple.

08.05.2009 in BLACK AFRO-CARIBBEAN HAIR LOSS, HAIR LOSS [ PHOTOS ] TREATED

Great black hair care should include the following regime: a high quality trichologically balanced shampoo, preferably an all natural one [ trichological ], a high quality trichologically balanced conditioner, trichological hair treatments for a healthy scalp, and an trichologically balanced daily moisturizing lotion, cream, or serum as well as monthly hot oil treatment and protein treatments. Unfortunately, many individuals with Black African hair neglect to follow this regimen. In fact, Black Africans often neglect there hair by following damaging “myths past down from one generation to the next” including not washing hair frequently enough, lack of regular hair trims, and the application of petroleum based hair “greases” and mineral oil based hair lotions, causing hair breakage, splitting, and thinning for Black African hair.

Keep your hair moisturized [ twice a day ].  Black African hair needs moisture and deep conditioning, especially when the hair is exposed to chemical relaxers, stressful styles, and heat appliances, like blow dryers and flat irons. You must deep condition Black hair, at least twice per week for it to thrive and grow healthy. A conditioner is nothing more than a cream that is applied to the hair to smooth the cuticle, soften the hair, add sheen, and restore moisture. Although conditioning your hair cannot make it grow: it can reduce shedding and breakage. As a result, your hair will actually become longer over a period of time.

Find the right trichologically balanced conditioner. Instant or Leave In conditioners are great for Black African hair, because they coat and give the hair body and shine rapidly. However, they often contain silicones, which make the hair look shiny, but also seal the cuticles and coat the strand so much that additional moisture is unable to penetrate the hair strand. That’s why I recommend that you use trichologically balanced hair treatments or trichologically balanced leave in conditioners.

Try using “The Hair Centre” recommended range of Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Products especially designed for Black African Hair Loss Problems and Damaged Hair.

Deep condition your hair. A conditioner that is absorbed into the hair shaft to improve the health and appearance. Usually made from keratin and amino acids. The Hair Centre trichologically balanced conditioner is an excellent conditioner for Black African Hair. It contains amino acids and essential fatty acids, two necessary components for healthy, longer Black African hair. It also has almond, jojoba, coconut, olive, shea, and a host of other hair shaft penetrating moisture rich oils, which contain protein and vitamins to reduce breakage and splitting in Black African Hair. Try using “The Hair Centre” recommended range of Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Products. Make sure your thoroughly rinse your hair after using a deep penetrating conditioner.

Shampoo your hair regularly. As a Black African Woman you must protect against dry hair, but you also have to protect against an unhealthy, clogged, and dirty scalp. You need to wash your hair at least twice per week. However, you cannot do this with cheap shampoos or high priced shampoos that contain the same harmful ingredients as the low priced, disguised under better brand labels. As a Black  African Woman, it is best to use all “The Hair Centre” recommended range of Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Products that contain natural oils. If you purchase quality products “The Hair Centre” range of Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Hair Growth Products, then your scalp can be healthy and your hair will not be dry. Remember, that after shampooing and rinsing your hair, gently ring your hair to remove excess water. Towel blot your hair dry, and use a quality Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Products before applying heat. Do not rub the towel up and down your hair. This will result in breakage and splitting. If using a deep penetrating conditioner, just gently remove the excess water from your hair.

Style your hair from home. Section your hair into even parts. Apply “The Hair Centre” range of Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Hair Growth Products, directly to the scalp. Then follow with our hair Treatments or our leave-in conditioner, and style. Everyday you need to treat your hair just as well as you did the moment you walked out of “The Hair Centre”.

Pay close attention to the ends of your hair.  Black African Hair or Curly Hair needs a lot of moisture at the ends. When conditioning your hair, or even applying protein treatments or hair lotion, make sure you target those hair ends.

Remember that to grow long and healthy Black hair, you have to condition it. Do not neglect this. Black hair that is not conditioned often is dull, brittle, and damaged. Do not purchase cheap products with hair stripping ingredients, such as sulfates, alcohols, glycols, and silicones (any ingredient ending in the word “cone”). This eliminates about 96% of black hair care products available on the market. Always buy when possible “The Hair Centre” recommended range of Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Products especially designed for Black African Hair Loss Problems and Damaged Hair.

FACT

The Average Black African Woman spends an average of £185 a month [ including damaging WEAVES and HAIR EXTENTIONS ] on all the wrong products designed and targeted at the Modern Black African Woman.

FACT

With the Correct Trichological Advice and Trichologically Balanced Treatments and Products specifically designed for you, you can indeed enjoy a full healthy head of beautiful hair in any style you chose at a fraction of the cost.
